About Simon Gooding
Simon Gooding is one of the UK’s most experienced production managers with a career in theatre spanning over 30 years. Starting work as a stagehand at the Bristol Hippodrome in the early 1980s, Simon soon moved on to become a production carpenter. As he toured the country he quickly accrued a working technical knowledge and appreciation of nearly all UK theatres, and in 1993 ventured into production management. Since then, his experience and professionalism has ensured his name has become synonymous with large scale touring musicals in the UK and worldwide, most recently including Annie, Cats, Funny Girl, Grease, Rocky Horror and Sister Act. He is delighted to be involved with this touring production of Beautiful - the Carole King Musical.
